Toby Brodisch '63 Skinner opened Irene's of Selin's Grove, Ltd., a 1920s-themed restaurant, in downtown Selinsgrove. The fine-dining establishment is named after her mother.

Gideon Okwiya '65 celebrated his 75th birthday in July. After graduating from Susquehanna and continuing with graduate studies in the United States, he returned to Kenya to work first as a government employee and then as a senior principal with several high schools. He retired from academic administration and teaching in 1984, and in 1988 founded a private school in Mombasa. Gideon has settled in Mombasa and has fond memories of Susquehanna and Pennsylvania.

Catherine Strese '68 Jarjisian is the interim dean at the Cleveland Institute of Music, a position she has held since August 2006. She also serves with the National Association of Schools of Music as an evaluator and member of the Commission on Accreditation.

Thomas G. Roberts '68 is president of Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pa., where he began his employment as treasurer in 1974. A certified cemetery executive and president of the International Cemetery Cremation Funeral Association, he is a national speaker for the cemetery industry. He and his wife, Donna Marie, have three children and two grandchildren.

Gary Baylor '69 received the Herbert R. Bendt Award from the Susquehanna Valley Visitors Bureau. The award is presented by the organization to recognize events, businesses or individuals who favorably affect the tourism industry in the Susquehanna Valley.

Marcia Spangler '69 Sharpe retired as a second-grade teacher at Londonderry (Pa.) Elementary School. She spent all but five years of her 25-year teaching career at Lower Dauphin School District in Hummelstown, Pa.
