Dearest Susquehanna Friends,
During Homecoming Weekend 2005, friends and family of Jennifer Tietgen '97 gathered together on campus for the first-annual Walk with Jen 5K race. This event was to celebrate Jen's life and raise money for the Jennifer Linscott Tietgen Charitable Family Foundation. This foundation works toward placing educational programs in schools to teach students about the dangers of melanoma, a disease which Jen bravely fought. Jen may no longer be with us to see the fruits of her labor, but the outpouring of support from Susquehanna's staff, the Kappa Delta Sorority, and many alumni and friends was truly overwhelming. The names of donors and participants are too numerous to list in this letter, however our heartfelt appreciation is extended toward all those who helped support this important event. We hope Walk with Jen will become an annual tradition, and look forward to seeing this event grow each year.
Most Sincerely,
Carrie Green '97 Higgins
