WQSU’s Annual Bluegrass Festival

~Sunday April 10th, 2011~

The sounds of guitars, banjos, and fiddles floods Susquehanna University on April 10th when WQSU hosts its annual bluegrass festival.

Doors normally open around 1 p.m., and the music will begin at 2 p.m.

The festival includes music from local bluegrass bands and provides WQSU listeners the opportunity to enjoy a unique and traditional bluegrass experience. Refreshmentsare usually available for purchase, along with raffle tickets and door prizes.

The admission fee supports keeping WQSU on the air. Children 5 & under are free.

The festival is held in the Weber Chapel Auditorium located on the upper end of the Susquehanna University Campus.

Derek the Dude's Bluegrass Rules Show, Saturday, 3-6 PM

Cristi & Joe's Bluegrass Show, Saturday, 8 PM-11 PM


"Derek the Dude's Bluegrass Rules Show has been airing since April 2000.

He features new and traditional bluegrass. On any given Saturday, he may

have live local and regional bluegrass bands preforming. This 3 hour show

is packed with enjoyable, foot-stomping music. Derek will also keep you

informed of all the area festivals and events. Tune in on Saturdays from 3-6 PM

to hear the "Bluegrass Super 7" where you can gear 7 songs in a row twice in a show!"
