Susquehanna’s men’s rugby club team completed its fall season with a perfect 7-0 record and was crowned the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference champions.

Team members outscored their opponents 458-24 over the course of the season with victories over Penn State Berks (80-0), Franklin and Marshall (83-0), LaSalle University (50-10), Albright College (97-0), Bucknell University (45-14), Widener University (70-0) and Neumann University (28-0 by forfeit).

The club has been paced by senior all-American and 8 man Ryheem Powell, who scored 16 tries (80 points); junior fullback Adam Morrow, who scored 14 tries (70 points); junior wing Matt Gorman (65 points); and senior outside center Isayah Young-Burke, who scored 9 tries (45 points).

The prolific offense has been directed by the combination of sophomore scrumhalf Seamus Hanrahan and junior flyhalf Trey Milby, who accounted for 58 points.

The club rose to the No. 2 ranked team in the country by the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) among more than 200 teams. SU fell to No. 10 ranked Loyola University in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) National Playoffs on Nov. 17.
