Daniel Kuester will deliver the Sigmund Weis School of Business lecture Finding Economic Concepts in The Big Bang Theory, The Office and Other Television Shows at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 in Degenstein Center Theater on the campus of Susquehanna University.

The lecture, which is sponsored by the Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship Education, is free and open to the public.

Kuester is the director of undergraduate studies in economics at Kansas State University, as well as the holder of the university’s Roger Trenary chair for excellence in economic instruction and the executive director of the Association of Arid Land Studies.

Kuester has authored or co-authored publications in The Journal of Economic Education, The Forum of the Association for Arid Land Studies and the Journal of Economics and Finance.

His primary research interest is economics education and how faculty can use compelling and current examples in their teaching of the subject. He has also published research on the history of economic thought and the economics of sports.
