Important Reminders for Graduating Students
Buy tickets for the graduation luncheon
During senior week in the dining hall, purchase tickets for your family for Tuesday's Baccalaureate Dinner and Wednesday's Commencement Brunch. As a graduating senior, pick up your free ticket at the ARAMARK office in the campus center for both meals.
Hike up Mt. Mahanoy with President Green
This year's hike is Friday, May 11. Sign up by the first week of May.
Settle your financial obligations
Unpaid tuition, library fines, health center charges, parking tickets and athletic equipment charges must be paid before 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 10.
Make sure your name is pronounced correctly
To make sure your name is pronounced correctly, submit the phonetic spelling in the Qualtrics survey you receive or email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, May 11, with the proper way for your name to be said as you walk across the stage.
Request a co-curricular transcript
The transcript, which lists your involvement outside the classroom, can give you an edge in obtaining employment, internships, graduate school or exploring career opportunities. Request yours on mySU.
Pick up your cap, gown and study away sash
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 14, or Tuesday, May 15, in the campus center meeting rooms.
Don't miss Commencement rehearsal
It's mandatory! Rehearsal is at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, in Weber Chapel Auditorium. If you are unable to attend rehearsal, please contact Kate Hastings at email@example.com.
Return your regalia by 5 p.m.
After commencement, return your gown and hood to the meeting rooms. The tassel is yours to keep! Unless you bought your cap for decorating, this needs to be returned also.
Get your honors inscription on your diploma
If you receive honors, leave your diploma in the labeled box at the regalia return location. They will be inscribed and then mailed to your home address. Please be sure to give a current home mailing address on the Qualtrics survey as requested so your diploma can be sent to the correct address.
Move out of your room by 6 p.m.
Residence halls close on Wednesday, May 16, at 6 p.m.
