A Susquehanna University economics major is gaining national attention for his skill as a bracketologist. (Yes, that's a thing.)
Junior John Matthews, of Honey Brook, Pa., was the third-most accurate bracketologist in the country to project the 2016 NCAA Tournament field. Until this week he has been blogging about it anonymously under the name Syracusefan7. He has since been unmasked.
His success prompted stories by The Post-Standard and ESPN Radio.
"I did not expect to get much attention at all considering my blog is pretty small and the bracket matrix is not well known," Matthews said. "I think it's kind of surprising, but cool that people are interested."
