Ryan Seibert ’19 started working in the accounting field as a sophomore at SU and had two different positions before graduating.

As a sophomore, Seibert worked as an internal audit intern with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. The summer of his junior year, he then worked as an audit intern with KPMG in Baltimore, where he began working full-time after graduation.

Other than his position with KPMG, Seibert is studying for his CPA exam.

“I believe that my accounting courses prepared me well for the material I need to know for the exam,” he says.

He says the SU accounting and economics department helped him reach his goal of working for one of the Big Four accounting firms.

“Whenever I had any questions regarding course material or needed career advice, the faculty was always readily available and happy to help,” he says.

He also is appreciative of all of the opportunities he had from the men’s tennis team to Tau Kappa Epsilon to and the accounting club.

“Choosing to enroll in SU was one of the best decisions I have ever made,” he says. “Being able to take on all of my activities while receiving a great education is something that I believe is special to SU and helped prepare me for my career in accounting.”
