Susquehanna University’s annual Senior Art Show will be presented in the Lore Degenstein Gallery from March 24 to April 8. An opening reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the gallery on March 24.

All gallery events are free and open to the public.

The senior show is organized and managed by the students themselves, including the selection of a unifying theme. This year’s theme is “Infinite,” based on the Johann Wolfgang von Geothe quote, “In art, to express the infinite one must suggest infinitely more than is expressed.”

Graphic design students will show their best design work in the gallery exhibition including, but not limited to, logos, package designs, editorial designs, stationery, and web and new media design work. Studio art majors will show their best work in painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media art. This year, 11 graphic design majors, two studio art majors and one photography major will participate in the show.

Each spring, senior graphic design and studio art majors display their work as part of their senior capstone course. Like other capstone courses, it is designed to combine all the elements of a particular major and challenge graduating students to use them in a real-world setting.

The Lore Degenstein Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during the academic year.
