Susquehanna University’s student musicians will perform in various upcoming events presented by the Department of Music.

On April 6 and 7, student singers will perform scenes from two operas-The Abandonment of Ariadne by Darius Milhaud, and Arianna in Creta, by George Frideric Handel. Both performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Stretansky Concert Hall in the Cunningham Center for Music and Art.

The Student Composers Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 10 in Stretansky Concert Hall. This event showcases new works by students as part of the 21st Century Tuesdays series.

The university’s choirs will perform at the following times:

  • University Choir and Chamber Singers, 7:30 p.m., April 13, Stretansky Concert Hall, Cunningham Center for Music and Art. Both choirs are under the direction of Christopher Hoster, visiting assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.
  • University Chorale, 7:30 p.m., April 14, Stretansky Concert Hall, Cunningham Center for Music and Art. The chorale is under the direction of Jason Vodicka, assistant professor of music.
