Habegger Directs London Program
Veteran faculty member Jerry Habegger has been named executive director of the business school’s popular London Program. The position was created to give faculty members leading the program the ability to focus more fully on the student experience.
“By having one person coordinate the application and selection process, communications with students and their families, facility selection for classrooms and housing, the hiring of adjuncts, and logistics such as travel, it takes a burden off the faculty members who will be leading the program for the semester,” says Marsha Kelliher, dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business. “I want faculty to be able to focus on the quality of the classes and cross-cultural experiences of students.”
She says it also “allows for some standardization and will improve risk management.”
Habegger is the Allen C. Tressler professor in accounting and chair of the Department of Accounting. A certified public accountant with experience in both public accounting and industry, he teaches courses in financial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial analysis.
