The Thursday before Thanksgiving, after a few days of table-claiming and excitement, students dress in their finest and gather for an amazing meal. Aside from the delectable turkey and fixings, it’s a treat to be served by the faculty and staff. Even President Jonathan D. Green joins in the fun each year, carving a turkey for one table of lucky students at our annual Thanksgiving Dinner.

Students assemble at white-clothed tables to raise glasses of sparkling juice, give thanks and enjoy a delicious meal with their closest friends. Approximately 190 pounds of turkey, 400 pounds of mashed potatoes, 150 pounds of stuffing, 60 gallons of gravy, 280 pounds of corn, 140 pounds of green beans and a range of other foods are prepared each year.

Since 1981, this Susquehanna tradition has shown how the campus community comes together as a family, by demonstrating the care and regard faculty and staff have for students. The memories that students make on this special day last a lifetime.
