Bruce Svare ’71 recently returned from a five-month Fulbright Scholar Award stay in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, where he worked to improve the quality and quantity of graduate training in the fields of clinical psychology, counseling, social work and marital and family therapy.

Alumna awarded Fulbright to earn master’s degree, study climate change in Australia

Layren McDannold ’23 has been awarded the Anne Wexler Scholarship in Public Policy from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. The award will allow McDannold to go to Australia to pursue her master’s degree in public policy while conducting research into climate change.

Susquehanna celebrates the graduates of the Class of 2024

Susquehanna University celebrated the Class of 2024 by awarding degrees to nearly 500 graduates. They now join an alumni community of nearly 22,000 worldwide. After graduation they will scatter south to Texas, west to Oregon and north to Alaska, while others will set off to locations abroad in England, North Macedonia, Poland and South Africa.

The Jameson ’02 and Jennifer Engerer ’02 Troutman Susquehanna Entrepreneurship Fund guarantees seed money to all students taking the entrepreneurship capstone course and provides a process for students across the university to apply for funding to help support their own startup businesses.

SU surpasses goal on annual day of giving

Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends of Susquehanna made gifts to the areas of campus most meaningful to them, from academics and athletics to scholarships, campus initiatives and university priorities. In total, 1,549 donors contributed nearly $350,000 to support the student experience at Susquehanna.
