The Department of Theatre will present Vinegar Tom by Caryl Churchill Dec. 8-10 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m. in Degenstein Center Theater.
Set in the Puritan era in rural England, but with a contemporary feel, Vinegar Tom challenges assumptions about sexuality and social problems through a tale of witch-hunt hysteria. The New York Post called it a "fascinating piece, full of life."
Playwright Caryl Churchill is a masterful critic of human nature. A highly acclaimed Obie Award-winning author, her plays have been performed on international stages, on BBC radio, and adapted for BBC television.
Tickets for this performance are available through the Susquehanna University Box Office, located in the Degenstein Center Theater lobby. The box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens and non-Susquehanna students, and may be purchased in person or by calling 570-372-ARTS (2787).
