Clery Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires all colleges and universities to report their crime statistics and their campus security policies and reporting procedures to the U.S. Department of Education and the university community annually by Oct. 1. All students, faculty and staff receive a message directing them to this page for crime and safety information.
Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report
Susquehanna’s Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report, also commonly known as the Clery Report, contains Clery Act statistics for the previous three calendar years, and there are two main sections.
- The Annual Security Report includes statistics of reported crimes that occurred on campus in buildings and property owned or controlled by Susquehanna University, public property within the campus or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus, and noncampus buildings and property, as required and defined by the Act. The report also includes institutional campus security policies, including sexual assault, timely warnings, missing persons and other matters.
- The Annual Fire Safety Report includes statistics about fires and the university’s fire prevention and safety policy.
A copy of this report and previous reports may also be obtained at the Campus Safety Office at csafe@susqu.edu.
