When you visit Selinsgrove, be sure to: Cross the green bridge after experiencing the downtown. For those of you from bigger towns and cities, you’ll find familiar places like Starbucks, Panera, a movie theater, Target and TJ Maxx on what we call “The Strip.”

Favorite thing about Susquehanna: The student-centered mission of campus. College was a transformational experience for me because of the support I received. I love seeing the dedication of faculty, staff and the surrounding community toward ensuring the success of all River Hawks.

Favorite Campus Tradition: Baccalaureate. I get to live vicariously through seniors the night before graduation as we celebrate them with food, drink, music, dancing and conversation.

Tips for students during the college search: Own your search. You want to have great advice from family, teachers and counselors, but don’t rely on them to do all of the leg work for you. Treat your search like you are applying for jobs. You wouldn’t have your parents call future employers to set up your interviews or offer their recommendation of you. Admission representatives are more likely to remember applicants they have engaged with directly in-person, over the phone, via email, etc.

When I am not working, you might find me: With my family at home, at the movies, at the park and running around the neighborhood. I am an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and love to tell any Steelers or Eagles fan that the Seahawks are undefeated against them since I moved here five years ago. I also love playing board and card games, whether it’s a game of Guess Who or Uno with my kids or Settlers of Catan with my friends.
