Passport Assistance

The Center for Academic Achievement works in collaboration with the Office of Cross-Cultural Programs to help students acquire their passport for the GO Program.

Common Questions

Do I really need a passport?

Most likely, yes.  To be sure, we encourage you to review the guidelines provided by the U.S. Department of State

When should I apply for my passport?

It takes 4-6 weeks or longer to process a passport application.  We encourage students to submit their application at least two months prior to the scheduled trip.

How can the CAA assist me with my passport?

The CAA can help students:

  • Complete the passport application-- online or on paper.
  • Take and print a photograph that meets passport standards.
  • Drive to a post office or courthouse that processes passports.

Can I do any of this online?

According to the U.S. Department of State, first-time applicants must apply in-person.  However, passport renewals may be completed online or by mail.
