Pink Physics Club
The Pink Physics Club promotes unity among physics majors and minors on campus. Club members also include students who aren't physics majors, but who simply have an interest in the topic or are taking a physics course. It's a great opportunity for students to get to know the faculty and other science majors. The club has a weekly dinner, where student and faculty participants eat together on campus. The club also meets in the Knowledge Zone (physics offices) to relax, study or get work done. The club organizes fun and interesting study sessions before exams.
The Pink Physics Club is so named because the majority of the active members are female (including one faculty member, Samya Zain, Ph.D.). The club is open to men as well as women.
