BIOL-314 Advanced Genetics
This workshop-style course will explore advanced topics in the expression, evolution and inheritance of genetic material, as well as the modern techniques that are used in their analysis. It will also consider the ethical issues that arise from the generation and potential uses of the resulting knowledge. It will build upon the basic molecular and Mendelian genetics concepts taught at the introductory level. Prerequisite: BIOL-102 or permission of instructor. 4 SH. 3 lecture hours. 1 laboratory hour.
