YETI
“SU definitely prepared me for this experience. My on-campus involvement in multiple clubs and extracurriculars taught me how to work together with all different types of people to achieve a common goal, which is something I do every day at YETI helping them launch their digital asset management program. My classes at SU have helped me greatly with understanding industry terminology and the importance of being able to adapt to any situation thrown your way. This internship has provided me with hands-on experience working with a successful brand and has shown me what it takes to maintain a brand’s success. I know the lessons I have learned at YETI will continue to help me for years to come.”

Function of Beauty
“I am interning for Function of Beauty in operations where I help with product launches, influencer orders and collaboration products. When I landed the internship, I was super proud and excited! I have loved being able to network, work on really cool projects, and collaborating with people who are incredibly driven individuals. So far my biggest win was assisting with the launch of our new color, Function Green.”

SyArt Gallery, Sorrento, Italy
SyArt Gallery is an Italian art gallery showcasing contemporary art made by artists of our generation from around the world. They have an annual summer festival, which I helped with by designing social media projects, including Instagram posts to communicate diversity and raise viewer engagement. I was also responsible for designing a newsletter template, which I had never done before, so it forced me to learn, work fast and stay focused to get the job done. My main take-away from this experience was designing for a different culture, so I had to think critically about planning projects to align with an Italian company’s aesthetic and business goals.

History
Fort Delaware State Park
Historical Interpreter Intern
I worked as a seasonal employee at Fort Delaware State Park last year, so when the need for an internship arose to complete my museum studies minor, I applied to work at Fort Delaware again. My greatest lesson has been to be adaptable. We like to say that adaptable is our middle name at Fort Delaware. When our boat to the island was broken opening weekend, we adapted to still give the public a good experience.

Amazon Web Services
Account Rep Intern
I sought out this opportunity and received aid from the CDC on interview tips. My advice to students seeking internships is to apply, apply, apply. I applied to seven different roles within Amazon along with many other companies, received interviews for two of them but if I had only applied to my top role, I would not have gotten an interview.

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County
Marketing Intern
As my mother assists the organization with their finances, I grew up obtaining service hours. As a child, I would help to clean and paint tiles. After I learned that Habitat Berks was taking on interns from schools in the area, I decided to send them my application. I am very lucky to be able to return to the organization that I grew up with as an official intern, working in a building that I spent a lot of time in as a child.

I found this internship on LinkedIn and PwC is one of the firms I really want to work for after college. My advice for future interns is to get on LinkedIn and build your professional network. Also make sure to use buzzwords in your resume!
