CHEM-242 Methods of Chemical Analysis
Classical and modern analytical methods for quantitative determination of chemical species. Analytical processes, measurements, instrumentation, error, and statistics are discussed. Topics include theory and laboratory techniques of potentiometry, optical spectroscopy, chromatography, and mass spectrometry. Prerequisites: CHEM-101, -103 or -111. Taken concurrently with CHEM-102, -104, or -232 or with instructor’s permission. 4 SH. 3 lecture hours. 3 laboratory hours.
