I pursued by MBA because I wanted to develop my skills in managing a business. In the Fortune 500 corporation where I worked, I started a federal government contracting business. That business grew to a run rate of $200 million when I left after 20 years.
I completed my PhD from George Washington University in strategy because I wanted to pursue a second career in academia.
I was interested in Susquehanna University because of its Lutheran heritage, which supports openness to different ways of thinking and the existence of a just society.
Having graduated from a sister school of Susquehanna, I know that a liberal arts background is very important because it gives students a broader perspective to draw on as they progress through their careers.
PhD, George Washington University, 2001.
