Gregory Grabowski

Gregory Grabowski is the newly appointed Assistant Professor and Orchestra Director at Susquehanna University where he currently teaches conducting, mentors student teachers, and conducts the Susquehanna University Orchestra.

He most recently served as interim director of the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra in Flower Mound, Texas. He was also the assistant conductor for the Lewisville Lake Symphony, guest conductor with the Richardson Symphony, Dallas Asian-American Youth Orchestra, and served as graduate assistant conductor at both the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University.

Recent performance highlights include a benefit performance of the Mozart Requiem at Christ the King Catholic Church in 2012. In 2010, Dr. Grabowski stepped in at the last minute to conduct the Meadows Symphony Orchestra at the newly opened Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas while their director recovered from a serious injury. He then finished out the 2010-2011 season as interim conductor of the Meadows Symphony Orchestra.

He grew up in Edison, New Jersey, where he began his musical studies. He received graduate degrees in Orchestral Conducting from Southern Methodist University and the University of North Texas. Maestro Grabowski has had the honor of studying conducting under David Itkin, Paul Phillips, Harold Farberman, Leon Botstein, Paul Vermell, Samuel Jones, Nicolás Pasquet, and Markand Thakar.
