MEET THE FIRMS DAY

Meet major accounting firms, including some of the Big 4, as a first-year or sophomore student! With accounting firms recruiting earlier and earlier, this is a great networking opportunity. The event also includes faculty-led panel discussions covering topics such as public accounting and other career opportunities, larger versus small firms, strategies to get connected and attributes of ideal recruits.

Conferences

Each year, our accounting students attend the annual IMA Student Leadership Conference, where they listen to inspiring speakers in the fields of accounting and finance, make new contacts from other colleges and universities, and connect with industry leaders in a dynamic, friendly environment.

The conference includes several keynote speeches and numerous roundtable discussions, where issues in accounting and finance are presented and critically analyzed by both professionals and students. Other activities include industry tours and a fun night. For example, one year the students were taught country line dancing at an old-fashioned barn dance.
