Why study Arabic?

The Arabic Studies program at Susquehanna University provides students with the unique opportunity to study a living language spoken by over 300 million people as well as build linguistic and cultural awareness. Our program adopts the teaching philosophy that places Arabic as the key to understanding and immersing in the Arab culture. Our program offers beginning Arabic courses that focuses on proficiency in speaking, reading, listening and writing skills in both Modern Standard Arabic as well as Spoken Arabic. We encourage our students to consider Arabic study abroad programs to acquire first hand the cultural richness of the Arab World.
