This is a 2-3-week summer service-learning and cultural program centered in the city of Cusco, Peru. Students will contribute to a variety of projects in collaboration with local organizations that address the needs of underserved populations in this region. In addition to exploring the history, art and architecture of Cusco, students will also tour the historic center of the capital city Lima, explore several archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley, and meet members of the indigenous communities. Students will also visit the stunning and secluded ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Pre-requisite: SPAN-104. 2 SH. CC: Cross-Cultural.
