OFFP/OFFS/OFFR-ITAL Italian Language and Culture

This course is aimed at students interested in broadening their horizons and deepening their knowledge of the Italian people and culture by spending 4 weeks living and studying in the Northern Italian Renaissance city of Ferrara. In addition to GO program credit, students will earn 3 SH of transfer credit from the program host (CIEE Ferrara) by taking an Italian Renaissance Art course. Through visits to art museums, a community engagement activity, and food demonstrations, students will be exposed to a variety of aspects of Italian culture in a relatively short period of time. Because students will be staying with Italian families while in Ferrara, they will need to have completed ITAL-102 (or equivalent) prior to the trip. 2SH. CC: Cross-Cultural.
