Business & International Internships
Apply classroom knowledge and enhance your skills with practical, professional internships.
On-the-job learning is your ultimate career move
That is why virtually all Susquehanna University business students choose to complete at least one internship. Even better, about half of our students complete an internship in a foreign country.
As an intern, you’ll apply your academic knowledge in real-world settings, learn to thrive in the professional arena, exercise team-building skills, enhance your networking and overall relationship development skills, narrow the focus of your career plan, evaluate entry-level positions after graduation, and impress prospective employers with your unique skills.
Internships are similar to extended job interviews. Many recent business graduates have received job offers at higher starting salaries as a result of their internships.
The Sigmund Weis School of Business internship program is available to all business students. Internships usually take place during the summer, but can also occur during the school year. While they are designed to provide academic credit, some are paid.
Where Passion Meets Purpose
Straight from the Nest
“The digital media analytics project had the biggest impact on my time at Susquehanna. We built personal and professional portfolios, and I credit mine with helping me land an internship at Intel. It highlighted both my personality and my classwork to potential employers.”
— Katrina Hook ’26
“My business classes gave me a strong foundation in accounting that helped me during my internship at Deloitte. That hands-on, real-world experience will be key to my success as an accountant.”
— Aidan Kennedy ’25
“As I’m applying for internships, I know I’ve been well prepared to be successful after graduation, because of all the hands-on learning we do at Susquehanna.”
— Brian Layton ’26
