Study and explore the unique island nation of Iceland with our GO Ísland/Iceland program.

You'll spend several weeks in the summer touring museums, attending cultural festivals, exploring the natural wonders of this volcanic landscape and learning about Icelandic traditions.

Historical imagination is one focus of this program, as are understanding difference and power; identity politics; and nationalism, citizenship, tourism and globalization. You'll study the economy, environment and community while looking carefully at relationship between Iceland's history and contemporary life there.

Prerequisites: OFFP-ICELAND-S1: Nature Culture, Identities
Academic credit: Two semester hours
Majors of interest: All majors; may be of special interest to social and natural science students.
Financial aid: Need-based aid may be available.
