Susquehanna’s own faculty experts and college student mentors guide high school students who want to learn new skills, improve their abilities or explore topics that can add to their college résumé.

The Summer Pre-College Programs at Susquehanna showcase the university’s colleges of the arts, business, humanities and sciences by offering exciting and engaging, week-long on-campus workshops designed especially for high-achieving high school students.

A Worthy Investment

Scholarship Opportunity

Rising high school seniors who attend a Summer Pre-College Program will earn a $2,000 Visit Grant — that’s $8,000 over four years. If admitted, this grant will be automatically awarded in addition to any other merit or need-based financial aid for which you might qualify.

Actors Institute

Eager to experience university-level, professional acting training? Then join us this summer to immerse yourself in individual actor coaching and artistic collaboration for performance.

MediaWorks Studio

Immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of media and communications. Produce live radio content on 88.9FM WQSU, Susquehanna University’s award-winning radio station, and learn cutting-edge audio and video production techniques.

An exciting experience now in its 38th summer, this workshop provides America’s most talented high school writers with the opportunity to work in intensive, small-group workshops led by nationally recognized authors.

Health Careers Institute

Susquehanna University’s Health Careers Summer Institute offers a weeklong, immersive experience designed to help you discover the many pathways in the medical field.

At this summer institute, you’ll explore how a fish, an insect, algae and even an old tire, influence each other and are affected by one another in a continuum — from small streams to large rivers.

Orchestra Summit

Susquehanna University presents an exclusive summer performance opportunity tailored for high school string musicians. This residential program places orchestral performance in the foreground, while also offering a distinctive cross-cultural experience.
