Why did you choose Susquehanna University?

I transferred to SU because I was looking for a place I could call home. Susquehanna checked all of the boxes! It has offered me academic rigor and excellence, highly competitive athletics and friendships that will last a lifetime.

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class that I have taken at SU was financial accounting. This class challenged me to think critically about a subject I was completely unfamiliar with. During the course of the semester, I learned to create balance sheets, income statements and statement of stockholders’ equity for hypothetical companies. I interpreted financial statements through the use of different analysis ratios. This opened my eyes to a potential future career.

What is your favorite tradition?

Thanksgiving Dinner! I love being able to gather with all my teammates and coaches and give thanks with them before the holiday. Food has a way of bringing people together, and this is just a prime example of that!

What does being a Student Ambassador mean to you?

Being a Student Ambassador allows me to provide a positive experience to prospective students and showcase why I love this school. I’ll am able to offer a taste of my experience here; personal anecdotes about professors willing to go the extra mile, our small class sizes, lunches at the Kind Café, or the feeling I get when I step on deck as a member of the women’s swim team. I promise to share my stories, honest and vulnerable, and hope like me they choose to fly home right here to Selinsgrove, PA.
