To apply for Susquehanna, federal and state aid programs:

  • Use SU’s school code 003369.
  • Import your tax data using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. Tax information will be encrypted and hidden from view on both the IRS DRT and FAFSA websites. Accept the transfer, complete remaining asset and investment questions, sign and submit.
  • DEADLINE: March 1, 2022 for the 2022-23 Academic Year.
  • If you are selected for federal verification you will be required to submit additional documentation upon request.

Tips & Reminders:

  • Read all instructions carefully.
  • Do not leave items blank unless instructed to do so.
  • Use whole numbers, round all figures to the nearest dollar.
  • “Other untaxed income” means any payments made on your behalf during the appropriate tax year by a non-custodial parent, grandparent or anyone other than your parent(s).
  • Report untaxed income including tax-deferred pension and savings plans that are listed on your W-2 in box 12 with codes D, E, F, G, H and S. Do not list anything with code DD.
  • Do not report scholarship and grant aid on the FAFSA unless you reported it as part of your adjusted gross income on your federal tax return.
  • Financial aid does not cover the additional cost of single rooms.
  • Do not miss the deadline! We want to make sure you receive all of the funds for which you are eligible. If your FAFSA is received after March 1st, we may have spent all of our available financial aid resources. So don’t delay!
