Giving to Susquehanna University can be done either directly or through a gift model that may provide tax benefits to the donor. Giving online is easy. You can make a one-time or recurring credit card gift to benefit the area of the university that is most meaningful to you and your philanthropic priorities.

Checks
Cash gifts are the easiest and most direct way to support Susquehanna. Make checks payable to “Susquehanna University” and mail to Advancement, 514 University Ave., Selinsgrove, PA 17870.

Stocks & Bonds
Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to Susquehanna University. Transferring stock? Contact Janet Bucher for instructions.

Retirement Assets
Donating your retirement assets, like your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan, is an easy and impactful way to support Susquehanna University.

Donor-Advised Fund Gifts
Donor-advised funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants to the organizations meaningful to them from the fund over time.

Memorial Gifts
To make a gift in memory of or in honor of a classmate or loved one, you can do so by clicking the button below.

Estate Gifts
A charitable bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to Susquehanna University as part of your estate plan, or you can make a bequest using a beneficiary designation form.
Reunion Giving
Is it a reunion year for you? Please join your classmates in supporting your reunion class by making a commemorative gift to Susquehanna University.
Making a reunion gift is a wonderful way to reaffirm your belief in Susquehanna’s mission, and to ensure that current and future students have access to the same transformative education that you and your classmates experienced.
Class gifts are presented during the annual Homecoming–Reunion Milestones Brunch.

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to Susquehanna University. The following instructions clarify processes related to gifts of securities, IRA contributions, donor-advised funds and wire transfers. Your gift will be credited on the transfer date. In order to correctly identify, value and receipt your gift in a timely manner, you or your broker should advise Susquehanna University’s Advancement Office with the following information:
- Designation of the gift.
- Name of the donor.
- Stock information, including stock name, symbol and number of shares.
- Originating broker.
To contribute via a mutual fund, you must first contact your fund manager to request their instructions and forms to transfer your shares into a Susquehanna University account.
After working with your fund manager, please notify the Advancement Office of your pending transfer. You may contact Janet Bucher, advancement services specialist, by email or phone at 570-372-4449.
Electronic distributions from IRA accounts or direct electronic account transfers must be made directly to Susquehanna University from the IRA administrator. Checks made payable to the donor and endorsed to Susquehanna will not be considered qualified.

We encourage you to specify the purpose of your grant by indicating the department, project or fund that you wish to support. For your information — per IRS regulations — grants from donor-advised funds cannot be used to fulfill personal charitable pledges or in situations in which you receive a benefit, such as purchasing event tickets.
Please let your gift officer or Janet Bucher, advancement services specialist, know when you’re recommending a grant from your donor-advised fund to Susquehanna University, so we can be sure it is allocated properly. Include the name of your donor-advised fund, the financial institution, the grant amount and purpose.

Matching Gifts
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match most charitable contributions made by their employees. Hundreds of companies match donations to Susquehanna University. To see if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer’s name below.
