B+ Dance-a-Thon Raises Money for Childhood Cancer

November 29, 2018

Our chapter of the B+ Foundation held a dance-a-thon on Nov. 3, 2018, to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

During the 12-hour event, Zumba instructors, student performers, a DJ and games helped entertain the crowd and keep them on their feet.

"Our goal was to show everyone the importance behind the B+ Foundation and the wonderful message behind it," says event coordinator Kelsey Stahlnecker '21.

The B+ Foundation was created in honor of Andrew McDonough, a 14-year-old who died of leukemia in 2007. His motto throughout his battle with cancer was B+, a play on his blood type.
