Every Tuesday in September from 5-6 p.m., students gather near the Degenstein Campus Center for one of their favorite events—Dog Days!
Students who are missing their pets back home get the chance to spend time with dogs belonging to faculty and staff.
Alexandra Mosomillo ‘20 attends every week.
"When I'm so stressed with school and feeling homesick, it is the best relief I can get. I miss my dogs at home and sometimes I just need to see some cute puppy faces to make me feel better!" she says.
Dog Days is sponsored by the University Counseling Center. It began about 16 years ago as a way for students to ease some of the stress of the start of the school year while getting to know the faculty and staff and, of course, their dogs.
