The Greek Week tradition lives on! This year's events included events like Olympic games, the amazing race, dimes wars, a banner contest, SU SERVE, awards and, of course, Airband.
Students gathered in Weber Chapel Auditorium on April 20, 2018, for Airband, in which fraternity and sorority members competed in a dance-off to win money to donate to a philanthropy.
After many fun-filled performances, Phi Mu Delta and Kappa Delta were crowned this year's champions with proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Girl Scouts of the USA/Prevent Child Abuse America. Dimes wars and Airband raised more than $5,000, with more than $2,000 of that donated to Sigma Gamma Rho's philanthropy, March of Dimes.
"Greek Week this year was a great time. I enjoyed seeing some of the friendly competition throughout the week," said Bryan Rivas, Assistant Director of Leadership & Engagement/Greek life. "I am very proud of our Fraternity & Sorority Life community!"
More than 250 fraternity and sorority members participated in SU SERVE. During the Greek Awards ceremony, Tau Kappa Epsilon and Zeta Tau Alpha received Chapter of Excellence awards.
