B+ Hosts SU Thon to Raise Money for Childhood Cancer

November 27, 2019

Our chapter of the B+ Foundation held SU Thon on Nov. 8, 2019, to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

During the 12-hour event, there was glow-in-the-dark Zumba, student performances, games and food.

"Our goal was to show everyone the importance behind the B+ Foundation and the wonderful message behind it," says event coordinator Kelsey Stahlnecker '21.

The B+ Foundation was created in honor of Andrew McDonough, a 14-year-old who died of leukemia in 2007. His motto throughout his battle with cancer was B+, a play on his blood type.
