Spring Residence Hall Closing
All Susquehanna University residence halls will officially close on Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. Students must vacate their residence hall within 24 hours of their last exam or by 6 p..m. on Friday, whichever comes first. All students must properly checkout by removing all items from their room and returning their key in a Key Drop Box.
Need a short extension? Students needing to stay beyond 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20 can request an extension through Housing Self-Service.
NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED after 11:59 p.m. Friday May 13, so make sure you complete the Late Stay/Summer Housing Form ASAP.
Spring Closing for Seniors:
All seniors are required to be out of their units on May 28 at 6 p.m. Key drop-off location will be at Campus Safety. There will be a Closing Check for 18th street residents on May 16–May 20.
Students must fill out the Summer Housing Application through Housing Self-Service.
24-Hour Quiet Hours For Finals Week
24-hour quiet hours begin Friday, May 14 at 6 p.m. through Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. Final exams create higher anxiety levels so be considerate of your neighbors. Violations of quiet hours may result in conduct referral and residents may be asked to checkout immediately.
Rooms must be clean prior to departure. Trash must be removed and taken to the dumpster outside of the building. Remove all food items from the microwave and refrigerator units; defrost the units and clean the microwave and fridge. Wipe down surfaces inside and out. Unplug and leave doors open. The cord should be put over the front of the refrigerator. Any items left in the room could result in a charge of up to $150.
The last meal on the meal plan is dinner Friday, May 20.
