Pre-Arrival Testing

For the spring semester, 1,335 students were tested before they were allowed to move onto campus or attend classes. There was one positive case, and that individual had been isolated and recovered.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On-Campus Testing

Each week, on-campus and commuter students were tested twice a week with a nasal swab test. Faculty and staff, who were on our campus during the spring semester, were tested bi-weekly.

In the pie chart below, cumulative on-campus testing, which includes students who commute to campus, identified 136 positive test results among all student tests; individuals with confirmed cases were required to isolate away from the general campus population.  Among faculty and staff, 21 positive tests were identified.

Winter 2020/21 Dashboard Snapshot

On-Campus Testing

Required weekly testing was conducted for a little over a dozen students who resided on campus from the start of Thanksgiving break (Nov. 20, 2020) up until the spring semester. Faculty and staff were offered testing in December and again in January ahead of the spring semester. Positive cases were isolated.

Fall 2020 Dashboard Snapshot

Pre-Arrival Testing

Prior to arriving to campus, 2,470 of students, faculty and staff were tested. Pre-arrival testing identified 11 positive student cases, all of whom isolated at home and tested negative prior to returning to campus. Among faculty and staff, there were 100% negative results.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On-Campus Testing

Residence areas were tested every other day, using a 24-hour wastewater-sample collection method. Students not covered by residence area testing, including commuters, were selected for a 20% random sample PCR test each week. Following NCAA guidelines, at least 25% of student-athletes were PCR tested every two weeks.

In the pie chart below cumulative on-campus testing, which includes students who commute to campus, identified 61 total positive test results among all student tests; individuals with confirmed cases were required to isolate away from the general campus population.
