Urgent Warning from Public Safety

The Department of Public Safety is providing information to the campus community about a potential threat regarding a person who has harassed and stalked Susquehanna University students in the past. Guy Wishart, white male, 44 years old, a resident of New Hampshire, has previously committed internet crimes and stalking behavior towards a number of university students. Last spring he was arrested for the crimes, but is not currently incarcerated. He has recently made threatening posts on social media that he would like to do physical harm to specific students on the campus. His whereabouts are currently unknown and there is no current vehicle description to provide. The Department of Public Safety has made arrangements for the safety of those students and is working with law enforcement to locate him. Community members should be cognizant of safety and security best practices including securing doors that have electronic access control, be careful of approaching strangers requesting information, and be aware of unusual behavior by strangers traversing the campus. Anyone with information regarding Wishart is requested to call Public Safety at 570-372-4444.
