Susquehanna Announces Updates in Response to COVID-19

SELINSGROVE — Susquehanna University announced today that face-to-face classes are scheduled to resume on campus on Monday, April 6.

Students are currently on an extended spring break this week, but their courses will be moved to an online format beginning Monday, March 23, through at least Friday, April 3. Susquehanna advised students they can elect to continue virtual instruction through the remainder of the spring 2020 semester.

At this time, the date for students to move back to campus is scheduled for Sunday, April 5.

Susquehanna University also announced today it will refund students’ room and board fees in response to COVID-19.

The university will credit students’ accounts a prorated amount for current-semester room and meal charges for each week students do not reside on campus. Eligible students will see those amounts credited to their accounts weekly beginning Friday, March 20.

Regarding athletics, the Landmark Conference has announced that all athletic competitions are postponed through April 5. In addition, all university-sponsored events between now and then are suspended.

Susquehanna staff continue to assist students while they are not on campus. For example, staff have been watering plants, feeding fish and handling requests for shipping personal items since the spring break extension was announced last week.
