In residence: Nov. 12-14

Joy H. Calico is a professor of musicology at Vanderbilt University and editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Musicological Society. An expert on German music of the 20th century, she will guide Susquehanna faculty and students through a public recreation of Arnold Schoenberg's famous "Scandal Concert" of 1913, when the Viennese public reacted so fiercely to the experimentalism of Schoenberg and his contemporaries that the second half of the program had to be abandoned.
