Historian and Susquehanna University alumna Kathryn Falvo, Ph.D., will present the lecture Free Him Wholly from the Lusts of the Flesh Pots: Vegetarianism and Bodily Control in 19th-Century America. The event is free and open to the public.
Falvo is a 2011 graduate of Susquehanna, where she majored in history and women's studies. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in the same subjects from the Pennsylvania State University and is currently a visiting assistant professor of history at Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster.
