Spring always reminds me of new beginnings. That is certainly true on campus this year. The campus is abuzz with seniors excitedly sharing job offers and acceptances. While they will miss their time at Susquehanna University, they are looking forward to beginning their careers or graduate school. It has been a wonderful journey to watch their transformation from their first days on campus to today.

Marsha Kelliher steps down as dean of the business school on May 1 to become president of Walsh College in Troy, Mich.

I, too, am a member of the Class of 2017. Over the last four years we have gotten lost on campus together, tried to figure out how to order food at Benny’s together, and traveled to New York, London and Bahrain together. Just as they begin a new journey, I will as well. And just like our students, I will never forget and will always appreciate my time on this campus.

It has been a privilege to work with the incredible faculty and staff in the Sigmund Weis School of Business. Their commitment to teaching excellence and continuous improvement is inspiring. I credit the tremendous support from alumni to the close relationships they developed with faculty during their days as students.

Susquehanna University is unique. It is a place of traditions that are known and beloved at every level of the campus community. It delivers on its mission’s promise to give everyone an opportunity to achieve, lead and serve. It has provided a place to learn, to play and to make friends that will last a lifetime. And like our seniors, I am thankful to have been a part of this community for four wonderful years.

Kind regards,

Marsha Kelliher, J.D., LL.M.

Dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business
