“I continue to be so impressed by the staff at WQSU,” said general manager Dawn Benfer. “Their commitment to excellence and passion for broadcasting has been recognized repeatedly by their peers and for that we can all be proud.”
Susquehanna University recently dedicated the WQSU studio in honor of Larry Augustine, professor emeritus of communications, in recognition of his more than 50 years of distinguished service to Susquehanna University. Augustine was a driving force behind the establishment of WQSU, which first broadcast on May 14, 1967. The station made major strides under his leadership, where he served as the general manager from its founding until his retirement in 2016.
