College Factual has recognized several of Susquehanna University’s athletics teams as exceptional for students who want to play competitively while pursuing a first-rate education.

Susquehanna is named as one of the top schools for scholar-athletes in Division III men’s lacrosse, men’s basketball, women’s softball and women’s volleyball in College Factual’s 2017 National Student-Athlete Rankings.

Men’s lacrosse and basketball ranked nationally in the top 10 percent and 15 percent, respectively. Women’s softball and volleyball ranked nationally in the top 5 percent and 15 percent, respectively.

“Susquehanna is committed to excellence in athletics as part of our larger commitment to excellence in education,” said Pamela Samuelson, director of athletics at Susquehanna University. “We believe that intercollegiate athletics promotes character traits that lead to positive personal development and success in later life. We are pleased that College Factual has recognized our dedication to this mission.”

College Factual provides rankings and college match-making tools to students for free with the aim of helping them make the best education decisions possible. College Factual has served as the college rankings data provider for USA TODAY’s annual College Guide.

Susquehanna offers 23 varsity sports programs, all of which compete in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). University President L. Jay Lemons serves as chair of the NCAA Division III President’s Council.
