management major Alexis Artigliere ’24 was drawn to Tiffany for other reasons.
For most, receiving the iconic blue Tiffany & Co. box wrapped in its signature white satin ribbon is the epitome of class. But“I wanted to intern at Tiffany & Co. because the company values its history while it continues to innovate with the times. Tiffany & Co. has been expanding across the globe in recent years,” Artigliere said, “however, they still take great pride in being an American company and have a lot of respect for the heritage.”
Artigliere, of Madison, New Jersey, interned in Tiffany’s information technology transformation office, where she worked on project management and organization, crafting team presentations and data cleanup.
Artigliere also completed an intern capstone project that was presented to the company’s Executive Board.
“This was a project that all interns work on throughout our time at Tiffany & Co.,” Artigliere said, “and a great way to work collaboratively with other interns and receive performance feedback from senior members.”
Stationed primarily in Tiffany’s New Jersey office, she was able to network with other interns and the Executive Board from time to time at the company’s New York office.
“These have been great opportunities to hear other people’s experiences in their career paths and to get to know peers that are at the same stage in their career,” she said. “The other piece I enjoyed from this was hearing the advice from the Executive Board on advancing up the career ladder and their experiences throughout different stages of their careers.”
These experiences, Artigliere said, led to invaluable team building.
“It is important to find a company that you have a passion for so that you will have similar aspirations as your colleagues,” Artigliere said. “The people in the company and those that you are surrounded by can determine how you work and how effective you are.”
After graduating from Susquehanna University, Artigliere hopes to pursue a career in management. She wants to continue her work in the New York/New Jersey metro area.
