Joyce MacDonald will present Susquehanna University’s annual Literature Program Lecture on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Stretansky Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

In her lecture, Extravagant and Wheeling Strangers: Shakespeare, Race and Performance, MacDonald will discuss these subjects in light of current and past debates over immigration.

MacDonald is the author of Women and Race in Early Modern Texts and an associate professor of English at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky.

The Literature Program Lecture is an annual event covering a wide range of topics within the literary field.
