Susquehanna University has been ranked as the No. 9 best college in Pennsylvania to pursue a marketing degree, according to Zippia Inc., which operates a website with career information for professionals across industries.

In the recently released ranking, Zippia analyzed data from the NCES (National Center for Education Statistics) and College Scorecard data from ED.gov to understand which university marketing departments gave their graduates the best shot at career success.

Susquehanna’s marketing students and graduates have gotten jobs and internships at companies such as Yelp, PetSmart and American Express.

The Zippia analysis takes into account:

  • Mean earnings after six and 10 years
  • Ratio of people working to not working after 10 years
  • Percentage of graduating class that are marketing majors
  • Admissions rate
  • Graduation rate
  • Average cost of attendance
  • Median amount of debt
