Tim Breon is a versatile and accomplished musician, educator, and sound engineer with a career spanning decades and multiple genres. Beginning his musical journey at just 8 years old, Tim mastered both guitar and bass, performing with the state orchestra and attending The Governor’s School for the Arts. By his mid-20s, he was touring major cities along the East Coast with The David Rose Band. Tim further refined his craft under the mentorship of top instructors in New York City, including Ben Sher and Dave Brumbaugh, founder of Williamsport’s Uptown Music Collective.
As principal bassist and stage manager for the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, he has combined his technical expertise with his passion for live performance. Over the past fifteen years, Tim has worked with world-class artists such as Clay Aiken, Olivia Newton-John, Davy Jones, and jazz legend David Liebman, while also performing with renowned regional acts like The Johnny Jolin Band and The Doug McMinn Quartet.
In addition to his performance career, Tim is a dedicated educator, teaching guitar and bass at Lycoming College, where he also directs the electronic music lab, and offering recording fundamentals at Susquehanna University. With his extensive experience as a sound engineer, mixer, and remastering expert, Tim’s work bridges symphony orchestras, blues, country, jazz, and pop/rock.
